Hitsugaya stepped out of the carriage onto the dusty road and shut the door. I haven't been here for awhile. He walked over to the gate of the compound, feeling like he forgot something. A quick whistle from the carriage driver recalled his lost thought. After paying for the ride home, he unlocked the gate to the 10th Division headquarters. His first thought was to wake Rangiku and let her know he was home (he knew she would be asleep in his office). He dismissed it, though, knowing she would scold him critically for it. So, after retrieving the items he needed, he exited the headquarters. While heading towards his home, he spotted a small tea shop still open. This late? he though. Hitsugaya felt he was past due for a meal, since his last one had been hours earlier. He slipped onto the stool at the bar and ordered green tea with rosemary and scallop ramen. He was soon happily munching away at the small meal, savoring every bite. "You heard the latest news?" Hitsugaya looked up at the bartenders rough question aimed at him. "What news?" "Rumors been flyin' 'round sayin' that Kuchiki Byakuya's younger sister been gallavantin' 'round wid Abarai Renji, his vice cap'n." "Really? Thats interesting..." A deep scowl burrowed its way into Hitsugaya's face. His appetite gone, he stood up and slapped money on the counter. "Thank you, sir. There is extra there for the information." "Thank ye kindly, young'n." Ignoring the 'child' comment, Hitsugaya began striding purposefully towards the Kuchiki compound as dawn broke over the horizon. {{Offline}} |
